Shine offer a service that is kept simple. From time to time people ask us if we think 360 degree feedback is worth the investment and makes a difference. 'Not really,' we say, 'unless you do it properly.' 360 degree feedback isn't brain surgery, and there's some great software out there to help with the administration (and we think ours is the best). Getting people to give and receive constructive feedback about behaviour at work - now that's the tricky bit. And helping them to actually use the feedback isn't a walk-in-the-park, either. But our simple philosophy of doing it properly is what Shine are all about.

Our commitment to keeping it simple extends across all aspects of employee opinion surveys,employee engagement surveys and 360 degree feedback. A lot of things in modern life seem over-engineered. Mobile phones, VCRs, PCs, digital cameras - crammed full of features that we rarely use. But for some reason, we think we ought to have them. Or perhaps they never had any intention of using it but asking the questions seemed like 'the right thing to do'. After all, what's the point of a mobile phone that let's you download and watch the entire 'Lord of The Rings' trilogy but won't let you make a call when it's raining?
